Progra was established in Ravenna in 1987 in an area characterized by extensive industrialization developed in parallel with the growth of maritime traffic of its port channel and concurrently with the exploitation of the local hydrocarbon reserves both on-shore as off-shore. These were the conditions that made possible, from the late 50’s, the settlement of various petrochemical industries (downstream of the realization of one of the largest petrochemical plant in Europe) as well as, later, the development of an electro-mechanical industry specialized in the construction and maintenance of the numerous Oil&Gas platforms installed off its coast.
