Zamalwandle Transport Logistics was founded in 2001, and was hauling sand and stone in Vereeniging with one 24ton truck. With the eet gradually growing and standing at 5 vehicles, in 2004 Eskom awarded a contract to Zamalwandle to haul coal from dierent mines in the Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga province and deliver it to their power stations also in these provinces. Due to Zamalwandle’s good safety record and satisfactory service delivery, Eskom extended the period of the contract and increased the number of vehicles to run on the contract, this opportunity saw the company grow in leaps and bounds. To this day Zamalwandle still services Eskom. The focus and mission of the directors of the company has always been growth in and around the country and even beyond South African borders. This mission became a reality when in 2011 the company got awarded a contract by ArcelorMittal South Africa to distribute nal steel products for export to various African countries, namely; Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Zambia, Namibia and Malawi. Through the Zamalwandle’s years of vast experience and operation, the company now provides a safe and reliable transportation service to a diverse group of customers throughout the country namely; Eskom, ArcelorMittal, Metmar Indusrties and Rand Sand. The company employs 70 people, including truck drivers, mechanics, operational and administration staff.
