The Netherlands Academy of Technology and Innovation (AcTI) is the Dutch Academy of Engineering. A unique and independent association of personally elected members from industry, academia and research institutions. AcTI members are individuals with authority and involved in social, economic and cultural issues surrounding science, technology and innovation and have a proven track record in technical and applied sciences and / or science and technology-based innovation. AcTI works closely with the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Netherlands Academy of Technology and Innovation is a forum of and for the knowledge and expertise present in the Netherlands in the field of technical-scientific research and education, technology and innovation. AcTI aims to positively promote social and political thinking and acting with regard to science, technology and innovation from a coherent vision. The Netherlands Academy of Technology and Innovation is a member of the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences and Engineering (Euro-CASE) and is therefore part of the Scientific Advise Mechanism of the European Commission. Furthermore AcTI is a member of the global International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS).
