Thermotor
www.thermotor.co.ukSince the inception of the company in 1977, innovation has been at the centre of Thermotor engineering. The company was originally set up to undertake the design and manufacture of Thermal and Motor control panels – hence the name. These products for the process control industry were built to exacting standards, being used in petrochemical installations in the UK and offshore. The engineering skills used were readily transferred to the UK traffic industry, with a series of innovative designs for the Department of Transport (now the Highways Agency) such as the introduction of a red fibre optic cross into bulb matrix signs (now the fifth generation MS1 Motorway Matrix with IP). Those same engineering values follow through into our current product ranges, where continuous improvement is sought through the application of new ideas and new technologies. Thermotor encourage the application of new ideas, new technologies and new ways of working to secure a competitive advantage. We endeavour to delight all our customers by understanding and exceeding their expectations. Sign applications range from motorway information and hazard systems, rotating prism signs, variable message signs through to vehicle activated signs, lane control, car parking and other customer information displays. These may be stand alone, part of a system or integrated into existing networks. Designing to specific customer requirements, our fully qualified engineering department provides comprehensive solutions to traffic and information problems. Extensive knowledge of current technology, combined with continual research and development, ensures that our products are innovative, cost effective and reliable.
