NISI MASA was founded in 2001. It is a non-profit organisation supported, amongst others, by the European Union: Council of Europe through the European Youth Foundation (EYF), European Cultural Foundation and the European Commission through Youth in Action, and Creative Europe-MEDIA. NISI MASA is also the European network of young cinema associations, currently present in 26 countries. Our activities are divided among four departments: , , FilmLab and Network. Script and Debate are run by a Head of Department collaborating with the association on a freelance basis. They manage the respective projects (either as project managers themselves or by offering assistance to and advising the local members). FilmLab is handled by Project Managers and the Network department is handled by the Office.
