Wandering Cellars
www.wanderingcellars.comBill didn’t grow up drinking wine, so he certainly wasn’t an authority on the libation until more recently. He recalls sampling from time and occasionally experiencing a fondness to the beverage, but other times not so much. Some time ago over a business dinner, he had his “Ah Ha” moment. Little did he know that the exceptional wine was voted the Wine Spectator wine of the year and from that moment forward he was captivated! For entertainment Bill spends all of his spare time reading, tasting, and studying everything wine. He created a wine blog to help friends make selections for their own consumption based on their preferences and believes that everyone should drink the wines that they like and not necessarily allow influence from others based on notoriety or price. Bill is now working on his “Final Roll Call” in life. He started experimenting with small batches of wine and later resolved to graduate from UC Davis with a certificate in Winemaking and Viticulture. In pursuit of more hands on experience he contributed to harvests in Napa, South Africa and also works at a local Minnesota winery. Bill has had the privilege of meeting many winemakers in the wine industry and many of his friends reside in Napa, Sonoma, and even South Africa, which gives him more opportunity for making wines around the world. When they share a glass of wine he often makes inquiries regarding their styles and what they enjoy most about winemaking. Bill is particularly fond of wines that are true to their varietal. Besides making great wine, Bill is on a mission to find the highest quality fruit and small batch wines that will become part of the Wandering Cellars brand.
