Sumting Fresh was started in 2012, out of a chance meeting of Andrew Leeuw and Hezron Louw. With a shared passion for food, they took to the streets of Midrand, operating their experimental kitchen out of a food trailer. The dynamic pair quickly built up a reputation for the freshest, most original and straight - up delicious street food in Johannesburg. In 2013, they hit the Johannesburg urban food market scene, and quickly became firm favourites. As the demand for their signature dish grew, so did the company. From just the two of them, they now employ a crew of 25 young staff. Both Andrew and Hezron mentor their staff; passing on catering and business skills. An "overnight" success story, with lots of hard work, strategy and perseverance thrown into the mix. They have been featured in The Guardian (UK NEWSPAPER) as “1 of 10 Amazing Food Stalls Around The World” https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2015/oct/26/best-food-market-stalls-around-the-world They are currently expanding their offering; bringing the best quality street food, fruitiest Jam Jar cocktails and innovative catering ideas to Jozi's corporates, events and festivals. They truly bring you a food experience. They have recently opened a fast-casual restaurant in Norwood, Johannesburg, as well as operating the 1st BUS-taurant in South Africa. You can catch them at Braamfontein's Neighbourgoods' Market every Saturday and The Fourways Farmers' Market on Sundays.
