Circle Of Live is a live acts only, event series concept and a record label curated by Sebastian Mullaert, honouring the values of spontaneity and improvisation. The project showcases an expertly curated collective of today’s most illustrious electronic live artists featuring acts like Frank Wiedemann (Âme), Mathew Jonson, Peter Van Hoesen, Vril, Steffi, Amp Fiddler, Dorisburg, Leafar Legov, Johanna Knutsson, Laurence Guy, Matt Karmill, Neel, Steevio & Suzybee, The Mole, Tobias. Since it's launch the concept has traversed the creme de la creme of nightlife venues and festivals around the world: from Funkhaus Berlin thought to Mutek Montreal, Movement Detroit, Red Bull Festival Stockholm, Village Underground London, Freerotation Festival, Vent Tokyo, Knockdown Centre NYC, Malmo Live, Concrete Paris, Lux Lisbon, Nitsa Barcelona amongst others. This is an experience unhindered from any formal structure, allowing both the performers and audience to explore the boundaries of electronic music improvisation in all of its raw beauty. The all-night-long, freeform improvised jam sessions comprise of both collaborative and solo performances, with no set times decided in advance, allowing the natural flow to lead the way. The Circle Of Live record label releases selected cuts from the live jams, offering a snapshot into the weird and wonderful fruit of collaborative live performance.
