At Sentio, we advise our clients on labor regulations & working conditions that are applicable in the various regions within South Asia. We conduct thorough due diligences based on the applicable labor & environmental requirements, to identify gaps, and provide consultation on sustainable ways to remediate these gaps. Our process is different from the usual practice of conducting social audits since it involves a thorough legal & procedural due diligence with a focus on systems through an interactive approach ensuring full transparency. Over the years Sentio has had the privilege of advising multinational brands across the globe and even assisted them in implementing the requisite labor & environmental standards across their supply chains. In 2017, Sentio became a signatory to The Social & Labor Convergence Project by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and actively provides inputs to the Tool Development & Verification Working Groups. Sentio has been recognized as an Affiliated Institute of the Apparel, Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council and as a Project Implementation Agency for the National Skill Development Corporation (“NSDC”), both initiatives by the Government of India as part of the Skill India & Make in India missions. Through these recognitions, Sentio is now authorized to issue supply chain workers from the Apparel Industry Skill Grade Certificates, providing formal recognition to the skill sets possessed by them. We have already certified over 5,000 workers and plan to cover 100,000 more over the course of the next 3 years.
