It may be a small world, but it’s remarkable how many barriers remain to “easy” viewing. Television reveals the limits of globalization. In the era of “Connected World”, national borders seem almost quaint. Yet foreign shows that should be as easily found in Michigan as Milan are not readily available. Home2US Communications, Inc. (and its European forerunners dating back to 1990s) was born out of solving a tangible, clearly-identified consumer problem; namely, easy access to international programming and making it as easy as getting your mainstream TV programs from DBS and/or Cable-TV, despite the barriers to entry. We are the first pay-tv company of its kind that brought international pay-tv concept and operations to European markets in 1990s, and following its success stories in the old continent, replicated the same model in the US in the early 2000s. Having launched its bouquet of international premium TV and radio channels on SES-Americom’s AMC-4 DTH platform in 2003, Home2US became an instant hit with its international line-up of highly-sought after programming reaching millions of eyeballs in North & South America. The company is credited with being an innovator for multiple web-deployed tools and processes . Among them, the first secure web-deployed Subscriber Management System (SMS) for DTH and Cable-Tv systems; the first web-based global satellite broadcast video monitoring tool via networked IRDs that were connected to hand-held devices as well as PC and TV sets. Through their experiences gained early on at Home2US, many employees are experts, thought-leaders and key decision-makers in today’s global industries. Our challenge and motivation is to deliver new consumer-centric digital content delivery platforms that blend human and technology elements designed to satisfy consumer demands around the world.
