Sevang is also the name of Christopher’s teacher of many years who was a Tibetan lama living in exile in India. The name is partly in honour of him. WHAT DOES SEVANGEE DO? & WHAT DO WE DO? Sevangee was started with the aim of spreading this ancient form of holistic exercise. We realise the need of wholesome living in today’s world where people are losing their bearings in the mad rush to succeed. There is a deep need for improved methods of living that are conducive to modern life. Oddly enough the solution does not appear to lie in the modern but in the ancient. Sevangee teaches the traditional form of Tai Chi Chuan/Tai Ji Quan(Yang style) that combines movements with internal energy development exercises and meditation. It draws techniques from Qi Gong, Nei Gong, Tsa Rlung, and Tibetan meditative practices. This is commonly referred to as ‘Temple Tai Chi’. The name ‘Temple Tai Chi’ refers to the all-round training that was practiced in the temples where it originated. This method of training is designed to tackle all aspects of individual growth, physical, emotional, mental, moral and even the spiritual.
