A non-profit corporation formed in 2003, Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers works to promote the superior benefits of wild Alaska pollock to retailers, foodservice operators, and consumers around the world. The members of GAPP represent over 95% of Alaska pollock production in the United States. For over 40 years, the Alaska pollock fishery has been conservatively managed based on science and now is recognized the world over as a model for responsible fishery management. Genuine Alaska Pollock meets the global standard for sustainability set by the Marine Stewardship Council and the Alaska Responsible Fisheries Management program.
