www.efcn.infoThe French-Cypriot school, was founded in 2012 and is the successor of the French school Arthur Rimbaud which was established in 1987. Our school encourages cooperation between France and Cyprus and provides an education based on values such as humanism, cultural intellectuality and equality. It encourages critical thinking, understanding, tolerance and co-existence. One of the school's objectives is to promote both French and Cypriot cultures and languages at a European and international level. The main language of instruction is French. Students can choose between two academic paths: French or Bilingual. In the latter one, students are taught in both French and Greek. Additionally, our students learn English and from 12 years old they have the possibility to learn an additional foreign language: German or Spanish. Students at EFCN are prepared for the exam "Diplôme National du Brevet" (DNB), which takes place at the end of 3ème : the last class of lower secondary school (collège). In higher secondary school (Lycée) students are preparing the French Baccalauréat with the possibility on focusing on: "S" (Sciences), "ES" (Economics), "L" (Literature). The French Baccalauréat is world-widely recognised and accepted in all Universities in France and abroad. Higher education in France is free as it is offered by the state.
