Jolt Green Hydrogen Solutions
www.jolt-solutions.comIf you are interested in the future of Green Hydrogen then take a look at what we are doing at Jolt. Hint: none of the targets for Green Hydrogen will be achieved and there will be no widespread adoption of electrolysers and fuel cells, no matter how much money is thrown at the sector, without a technological breakthrough at the electrode level. Think 40 years ago focusing on PCs and completely ignoring the microchips chips inside! Follow us at "Jolt Green Hydrogen Solutions" to see how we are solving this problem. Jolt is commercializing a new coating process to volume manufacture high performance electrodes at low cost. Initially these electrodes will be used in hydrogen electrolysers and later in hydrogen fuel cells. Jolt´s patented technology finally provides the required combination of low cost + very high volume production + longer device durability + very high device efficiency (i.e. more hydrogen produced with less electricity) - in other words, all of the features the market has been waiting for to help drive down the cost of Green Hydrogen. The technology is currently at TLR7 (electrodes successfully tested for performance decay and energy efficiency in the commercial stacks of electrolyser manufacturers) and we will start manufacturing electrodes for our first electrolyser customers in 2023. Jolt´s patented technology consists of a one-step, ultrafast and ultra-safe method to manufacture self-supported industrial electrodes. The process is based on solution combustion (ie the synthesis of metal oxides and alloys) and produces metal oxides with significantly improved performance at a reduced cost and consists of a competitive catalyst coating treatment (50+ catalysts) which can be applied to electrode supports of any material (stainless steel, nickel, etc). The electrodes will initially be used in electrolysers & fuel cells but with the potential, at a later date, to be applied to other business areas such as Chlor-alkali and batteries.
