Trace Kenya Group (www.tracekenyagroup.org) is one of the leading community based organizations in Kenya whose vision is to have a generation of empowered youths in the forefront of change and development. The organization empowers young people to lead the way in tackling emerging societal problems with innovative local solutions. Trace is based in Gilgil Nakuru County and has successfully mobilized funds, resources, pro bono expertise and donations in kind from numerous well established organizations including MTV Staying Alive Foundation (UK), Restless Development(UK), Rhodes Scholars Southern Africa Forum (UK), NDUME Agricultural Engineering Ltd, UNHABITAT, World Vision, Self Help Africa, National Council for Churches of Kenya, Pembroke School, Total, Barclays bank, Equity Bank and KCB Foundation. Trace has solid support of relevant Government agencies namely: County Government of Nakuru, Youth Enterprise Development Fund, Uwezo Fund, National Environment Management Authority and the National Youth Service College Gilgil. The goal of the organisation is to contribute to the conservation and management of natural resources in Kenya and to empower young people to steer change in their communities through socially innovative enterprises
