The Football Sack is one of Australia’s premier football media organisation. Formed in 2010, TFS aims to combine quality reporting with irreverence and humour – using social media and the internet to build and improve upon the coverage of the Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League and football in Australia. A multi-award winning organisation, TFS prides itself on focussing not only on providing quality content and satire to the Australian football public but also providing a pathway for talented young journalists to make it in the industry through our placement program. As of August 2017 we have seen 82 of our graduates gain employment in media, marketing, sports and PR. Along with news articles, match reports and other written content, The Football Sack commentates every game of the Hyundai A-League live through our Twitter account which in 2012 and 2013 won the FFDU Award for Best Use of Social Media. Our podcast, featuring over 100 episodes, has won Best Football Podcast three times (2011, 2012, 2015) and has peaked at #41 on the iTunes Australia Charts.
