Chiron Innovations is a medical device company founded by UTSA students in the Fall of 2016. Chiron currently has patent on ColdClot, a new gauze design to improve the efficacy of existing hemostatic gauze to better treat large surface wounds and traumatic injuries, such as proximal amputations. Chiron’s purpose is to develop innovative medical devices and products for use around the world to preserve life.
