The ICMS Consulting Group is the very first student-run consultancy in the entire Malaysia. We leverage on the expertise of a diverse group of undergraduates and postgraduates from universities across 6 countries, namely the US, UK, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong in providing consulting services to our clients. While consulting has become a highly regarded profession in many other countries, the mass majority of Malaysian students are not aware of the consulting industry and what it does. At the same time, the consulting industry remains exclusive to students from the most elite schools around the world, which indirectly creates a gap between most Malaysian students and the individuals already in the consulting field. We hold ourselves very strongly to serve the purpose of bridging the gap between Malaysian students and the industry, which then led to us found ICG with 2 core missions: 1. To expose the Malaysian students to the consulting industry through undertaking real-life projects with clients. 2. To directly connect Malaysian students to individuals already working in the consulting industry. We work with clients across different industries, ranging from startups to multinational corporations and international non-profit organisations. We offer practical recommendations in solving organisational or business problems while empowering capable, passionate student consultants. Having acquired our consultants from the International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates (ICMS) via rigorous selection processes, adopted operational models from various consulting groups and integrated them with customised foolproof measures, we seek to deliver the maximum impact not only to our clients, but to our colleagues as well.
