Since 1927 Wellington Free Ambulance, New Zealand’s only free ambulance service, has been the sole emergency ambulance provider for the people of Greater Wellington and the Wairarapa. We provide an onboard paramedic to Life Flight for their rescues and work closely with NZ Police and FENZ to respond when we are needed. Wellington Free Ambulance answered over 102,000 calls for help and responded to 58,000 emergencies last year.
