Project Legacy
www.projectlegacymn.orgProject Legacy intends to create access points to opportunities, resources and new experiences that have been foreign to the life of disenfranchised, street-involved youth in the Rochester community. Through emotional engagement and the establishment of close, caring relationships, we help make it possible for youth to take full advantage of the opportunities presented - resources like education, advocacy, support and housing. The program targets youth who have demonstrated resilience in the face of enormous obstacles and who are sincerely motivated to change their current lifestyle - what we do works. Our philosophy is built on the belief that a sense of hope and optimism needs to be rekindled for young people of color. The cornerstone of our work is unconditional love. The program was founded by John and Karen Edmonds in 2013 and is a 501(c)3 organization.
