Seed Co Zambia prides itself as one of the country's leading player in the agricultural sector. The company is involved in crop seed research, production, processing, distribution and marketing. Its flag ship seed products include; hybrid seed maize, wheat and soya bean. The company also markets sorghum, sugar beans, groundnuts and vegetables seeds. The company's customers range from small scale, emergent and commercial farmers. Others include the Government and Non-Governmental Organizations Taking advantage of the unique location of Zambia in the region and Zambia's diverse agro-ecological, environments, SeedCo has invested into two research stations to maximize germplasm screening and development of varieties with diverse adaptability to suit Zambia and other countries in the region with similar environments. One research station is located in Mpongwe district on the Copperbelt where disease pressure and rain are very high while the other station is located in Lusaka, which is the most productive agro-region of Zambia and other countries.
