Koita Foundation
www.koitafoundation.orgKoita Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded by Rizwan Koita and Rekha Koita with a focus on Digital Health and NGO Transformation. NGO Transformation: Scaling up of successful NGOs is very challenging given limited resources and organizational strength. Koita Foundation works with NGOs with proven operating models to understand and address their scalability challenges. We help them simplify and enhance business processes and determine how technology can be effectively leveraged to drive performance and scale in an orderly manner. Throug our work over the years, we have helped a dozen NGOs across healthcare, education and livelihood segments to significantly improve their performance and meaningfully achieve their objectives. Some notable examples are: • Defining and building Microsoft BI-based reporting and business intelligence platform for tracking performance of over 17,000 volunteers, supporting over 350,000 children across India • Establishing a Salesforce-based platform for student career planning – supported scaleup from 3,000 students to 30,000 students • Creating decision TreeApp which enables health workers to ask questions to beneficiaries based on a standard protocol, record visit data and escalate to supervisors. Digital Health: Digital Health and Informatics need cross-functional expertise – computer science, bioinformatics, statistics, AI/ machine learning, and medical science. Digital Health needs close collaboration across Engineering schools & healthcare organizations. Koita Foundation partners with leading academic institutions, hospitals, healthcare technology companies, and NGOs to drive Digital Health adoption in India. In 2021, KF partnered with IIT Bombay, India’s #1 academic institution, to establish the Koita Centre for Digital Health (www.kids.iitb.ac.in). We work on multiple Digital Health initiatives on a national scale, including supporting the Government of India’s ABDM initiatives and its roll-out.
