The CMA® is the globally recognized, advanced-level professional certification for accountants and financial professionals in business. Criteria to earn the credential: • Pass the CMA exam • Have two continuous years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management • Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or a related professional certification • Maintain membership in IMA • Abide by the IMA's Statement of Ethical Professional Practice To maintain the CMA credential, active IMA membership and 30 hours of continuing professional education are required annually.
