PERSONA NON GRATA PICTURES (former Zed Films) was founded by the director António Ferreira in 1999 to produce his first film "Breathing Under Water" which premiered at Cannes in 2000. Since its beginning, PNG PICTURES has produced about 30 films and documentaries by the most diverse directors, in co-production with several countries - Portugal, Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, Mozambique. The international aspect of our films relfete up in wide circulation at festivals around the world, as well as in movie theaters and television channels. We are based in Portugal (Coimbra) and in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), and the Lusophone space is our natural territory. Our films reflect the culture, thinking and imagination of the country of origin through the vision of its creators, producing works with an author stamp and close relation with the public. We favor projects with international appeal, through the establishment of co-productions, where our films have benefited in recent years from the support of institutions such as Ibermedia, Media, ICA, Ancine, ICAA, as well as the participation of televisions from several countries (RTP, Canal Brasil, ZDF / Arte, TVE, TV Galicia, Sony Brazil among others). The PNG PICTURES is currently headed by the producers António Ferreira and Tathiani Sacilotto.
