The CSPC’s research activities are in areas relevant to the practice of primary health care, primary care chronic disease surveillance, health services research, population health, health promotion, use of electronic medical records, family medicine education research, program evaluation and evidence assessment for clinical practice. The primary research portfolios held by the CSPC include educational research, community and program evaluation, intellectual and developmental disabilities, global health, and the Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network (CPCSSN).
