Parents Night Out - Elon
elon.campuslabs.comMember Since September 2019 About Parent's Night Out (PNO) is a student organization run through the School of Education that provides free childcare several times a semester for Elon faculty, students, and staff. Students typically volunteer about once a month to engage in planned crafts, activities, and games with children of varying ages in groups for 0-2 year olds, 3-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds, and 9-12 year olds during a normal semester. However, things are going to look very different for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021! Instead of our typical Friday night events, due to COVID-19 changes this semester, PNO will be offering virtual learning assistance to school-aged children up to 1-2 hours per week. We also have many opportunities for volunteers to take on some leadership in a more flexible capacity with our Enrichment Activities. Each month we will be sending out a calendar of virtual events for parents to sign their kids up for, and we are looking for volunteers to lead some, create their own, or a mix of both! Activities may range from a virtual escape room, to a writing workshop, to morning yoga, to a virtual bingo or trivia night! We are open to any and all ideas that will engage kids and be a fun opportunity to learn or build community!
