With the benefit of 50 years’ experience of providing relevant, effective Career development-related services to prospective, current and past UCT students, the UCT Careers Service recognises and continues to evolve its vital role in addressing youth employment in South Africa and beyond. Our core mandate is to assist UCT students to acquire a set of skills, knowledge and personal attributes that make them more likely to be satisfied with and be successful in whatever context they find themselves in. We are a Department within the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHED) and contribute directly to the University's strategic agendas relevant to transformation, student success and academic excellence.
