en || It was in 2003 when our father bought the property that the dream of our grandfather, Francisco Ferreira, better known as Pôpa was fulfilled. As children, this ‘piece of heaven’ was part of the most beautiful stories and memories told by our father. The magical words that described his land and his humble and happy childhood always served a lesson. The memory would come alive through those who have passed away and those we should pay tribute to. We remember as if it were yesterday, placing both our feet on the Douro… surrendering… to its people, its history and “terroir”. The magic continues as each day we find the glowing pride in his eyes and at some stage a tear of happiness and another of longing… and the greatest lesson is that all men have is own dream.
