Social Venture Partners (SVP) is the world’s largest network of engaged donors with a global network of 36 chapters and 3500 plus members across cities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and China. Launched in India in 2012, SVP India has expanded to seven cities – Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. SVP India is a pan-India collaborative philanthropy organisation. We: - Connect and engage philanthropists, helping them make the greatest impact with their contributions of money and time. - Fund and strengthen NGOs, ensuring they get access to knowledge, markets and funding. - Invest in a collaborative solution, so those with a common cause can align their efforts and go further together. We run an annual selection process to identify nonprofits with innovative ideas, proven results, and potential for growth. We then commit to a multi-year, comprehensive investment of grant-making, consulting, and direct engagement to support capacity building for selected nonprofits. We are a diverse community of business leaders, active citizens and philanthropists investing our time, money and expertise to scale innovative nonprofits. Our national focus is on making a dent in poverty through catalyzing livelihoods at the bottom of the pyramid. Therefore in all of our chapters, we focus on organizations that work to promote livelihoods – be it through income augmentation, vocational skills training and placement, or micro-enterprise development. Currently, we work with NGOs that create inclusive livelihood opportunities for youth, women, farmers, artisans and the differently-abled in various ways.
