At Walking Fish we combine experienced storytelling with go-getting spirit, drawing from a background in filmmaking, digital marketing, journalism and PR to bring great content to life across all screens and platforms. As seasoned doco-makers, we carry with us a natural storytelling sensibility and knack for finding compelling characters and stories. Be it hot chilli safaris in India, ancient noodle traditions in Japan or friendship speed dating in Sydney, we’re always up for new adventures in content making. From promo videos to documentaries, social impact, award-winning branded content series and everything in between, we are capable of a variety of tones, styles and formats. Walking Fish are three good mates and a happy family of collaborators. As a nimble team, we regularly call on a talented pool of writers, directors and cinematographers to match the brief. Walking Fish was founded in 2012 by longtime friends Lachlan McLeod (director), Louis Dai (cinematographer/editor) and David Elliot-Jones (writer/producer). Original long form projects include SBS broadcast/interactive documentary CONVENIENT EDUCATION (2012, SBS Australia) and feature documentary BIG IN JAPAN (2018, festivals/TV/airlines).
