The Group Insurance Commission (GIC) provides high-value health insurance and other benefits to the Commonwealth's employees, retirees, and their survivors and dependents. The GIC also serves housing and redevelopment authority personnel, participating municipalities, as well as certain retired municipal employees and teachers. As the largest employer purchaser of health insurance in the Commonwealth, the GIC helps drive improvements in the entire health care delivery system.
