Coach Chris Basketball has a simple philosophy: Work Hard! Do Your Best! and Have Fun! We teach the kids to apply this in all walks of life - family, friends, school, community, volunteer work, music, art, extracurriculars, etc. Finding your passion in life and putting the time and effort in leads to great things and the ability to make a difference in this world! Sports are for everyone and teach fantastic lessons - leadership, working together, understanding different perspectives, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of others, confidence and courage, fair play, modesty, accountability and transparency. These lessons are applicable in all arenas and stages of life and will serve the kids well. We focus on these areas. Sports should be enjoyable and fun as there's a short shelf life where kids can play them consistently, and as we all know, it gets increasingly challenging to find ten friends with whom to play pickup basketball the older we get! Only 2% of athletes that make high school varsity sports teams end up earning Division 1 scholarships. We want kids to maximize the fun and learning experience they have while it's available. We focus on the fundamentals of the game, excellent team play, offensive and defensive drills and stations, strategies, contests and game play/competition. Basketball is a wonderful sport, and learning to Work Hard! Do Your Best! and Have Fun! here will hopefully lead to amazing things in their lives.
