LI GreenMarket's mission is to preserve open space and assist family farms by providing an opportunity for Regional Farmers, Horticulturalists, Fishermen and Local Food Producers to provide direct access of homegrown, fresh and nutritious foods to Long Island Residents. --- From May through November, the Ligreenmarket offers fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty items like hand-made soaps, and lots of activities for the kids. Fruits and vegetables sold at the Kennedy Plaza, Kings Park, and Belmont Park Farmers Markets are either local or from Upstate New York, and some are organic. From strawberries to fresh herbs, radishes, lettuce, carrots, escarole, and even callaloo, to potted plants or cut flowers, there's a wealth of fresh produce at the market. Come and visit us soon!
