Vital Links for Occupational Therapists
www.vitallinks.comWHAT WE DO: At Vital Links we use sensory integration therapy to improve performance and functionality. With a deep understanding of sensation and how it impacts the body’s entire system, we help children struggling with functional limitations enhance their everyday performance and adapt more comfortably to their surroundings. We also offer continuing education courses for other passionate occupational therapists looking to mix science and art into their practices and think outside the box. WHO WE WORK WITH: Through our continuing education programming, we teach occupational therapists, families of our patients and anyone interested in enhancing everyday performance with sensory integration. HOW WE DO IT: At Vital Links, we focus less on diagnosis and more on improving functionality and finding balance for each individual child. We look at how our patients use their senses to function within the world and create an individual sensory treatment plan that enables them to get the most out of their life. THE RESULT: The changes we see in the children we work with is what keeps us motivated. We’ve seen children who once couldn’t speak begin talking and have seen children be able to interact more comfortable within their environment after working with our team. Through our continuing education courses, we’re also able to pass on our 30+ years of clinical practice to other occupational therapists looking to enhance their practice with our treatment tools. OUR SECRET INGREDIENT/WHAT OTHERS SAY: “I’ve seen the value of Therapeutic Listening in the clinic where I work, so eager to use it myself. Well prepared, thorough responses to questions, helpful bridging from concepts to clinical applications.” - ERIN, Course Attendee READY TO TALK? Whether you know of someone who could benefit from sensory integration therapy or are interested in joining one of our many continuing education courses, we want to talk.
