Modern scientists are faced with a multitude of tasks, but many are not adequately supported in-house to perform all of them well. To finance their research programmes researchers rely more and more on a mix of externally raised funds. But competition is increasing due to stagnating national research funds, which makes scientists look for alternatives on the international scene. Therefore, many internationally visible researchers in the life sciences turn to professional support to ensure their research proposals are competitive. Proposals: biolution has more than 12 years of experience in supporting life scientists successfully in the application for national and EU funds for research projects. Based on successful performance during FP7, biolution has become Austria’s premier service provider to apply for funding within the frame work programme or nationally. Images: biolution has assembled a visualisation pipeline based on the multidisciplinary expertise of its team and more than a decade of experience in explaining research. The inspiration was to generate affordable animations, which are rooted in scientific accuracy and extend into inspiring dynamic visualisations. It is our ambition to support researchers in their communication tasks with a dynamic representation of their favourite molecule or molecular process.
