Sonja McAuliffe Background Sonja started her interior design career in 1989. In 1999 Sonja started her own design company called Archertec Interiors. For over 17 years she has been managing the business leading her design team to complete many successful and award winning projects including hotels and resorts through to multi-unit development design, retail, office and residential housing design. Sonja has an eye for concept development, high quality detailing and materiality. Technically astute Sonja is able to apply her expertise to develop award winning project outcomes which meet client and business aspirations. In 2007 Sonja was awarded a Fellowship with the Design Institute of Australia and in 2009 won Professional Consultant of the Year at the Master Builders & Boral Awards. Her most recent success includes winning the MBA Canberra Building Awards Kitchen Design & Construction over $30,000 2015, House of the Year 2014, two Australian awards at the National HIA Awards 2013 for Australian Bathroom and Kitchen of the Year, an international award with the Asia Pacific Property Awards (APPA) for Best Residential Interior Design for Australia 2014 and the previous year winning Highly Commended for Best Commercial Office Interior Design for Australia 2013.
