Atelier Pagnamenta Torriani Architects Planners LLP is a New York-based, international practice founded in 1992. Recognized for its insightful and meticulous design of cultural and academic projects, the studio has a unique ability to redefine and push the boundaries of public and civic design. APT ARCHITECTURE's holistic approach to design creates spaces that enrich and engage communities with particular emphasis on local culture and history, original design solutions, and technological acumen. Sustainability and resiliency are an integral aspect of each project from conceptualizing the design to detailing and selecting materials. APT ARCHITECTURE ’s work has been published by the New York Times, Architectural Record, the Architect’s Newspaper, I.D. magazine, and Oculus, as well as international publications including Abitare, Spazio Architettura, and Wallpaper. It has been exhibited at the AIANY Center for Architecture and viewed during Open House New York. The firm’s socially edifying projects include Mariners Harbor Library on Staten Island, a series of New York City libraries and other educational spaces, and two Lebanese American University projects—the Riyad Nassar Library (Beirut), and a new Byblos Campus Complex scheduled for completion in 2016.
