English (Scroll down for Lithuanian)_____________________ The objective of the Association is to create a Lithuania where people living with dementia and their carers feel valued and supported by: • Generating and disseminating trustworthy information about dementia, its care and prevention. • Creating accessible services and support that meet the needs of people living with dementia and their carers. • Strengthening the representation of people living with dementia in all areas of public life. • Strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors in the development of services to support people living with dementia and their families. • Implementing training and educational programmes to support the development of dementia services and the promotion of dementia awareness in society. The Association was founded by experts from different disciplines who teamed up in the period from 2021-2023 to implement an initiative “Towards a Dementia Strategy: Situation Analysis and Public Awareness” (financed by the EEA Grants 2014-2021 through the Active Citizens Fund). Lietuviškai_____________________ Asociacijos „Demencija Lietuvoje“ veiklos tikslas – Lietuva, kurioje demenciją turintys asmenys būtų vertinami ir palaikomi. Uždaviniai: • rengti ir platinti patikimą informaciją pagalbos ir edukaciniais tikslais; • užtikrinti demenciją turintiems asmenims ir globėjams reikalingų paslaugų prieinamumą; • stiprinti demenciją turinčių asmenų ir jų globėjų atstovavimą įvairiuose lygmenyse ir įvairiose srityse; • stiprinti tarpsektorinį bendradarbiavimą, kuris prisidėtų prie demenciją turinčių asmenų ir jų globėjų sveikatos bei gerovės. • Didinti visuomenės informuotumą apie demenciją. Asociacija „Demencija Lietuvoje“ įsteigta susibūrus įvairių sričių ekspertams 2021-2023 m. įgyvendinti projektą „Demencijos strategijos link: situacijos analizė ir informuotumo didinimas“ (remia Aktyvių piliečių fondas, finansuojamas EEE finansinio mechanizmo lėšomis).
