Sonia Leber and David Chesworth are artists creating unique sound and multimedia installations for a diverse range of arts and cultural contexts including museums, galleries and public sites. Wax Sound Media is their company through which projects are run, developed and administered. Often working in conjunction with curators, architects and designers, Wax Sound Media develops new possibilities for the creative use of sound in cross-disciplinary environments. Wax Sound Media regularly works with producers and curators in many of Australia’s national, state and smaller museums, where we have composed soundscapes throughout the museum exhibition, together with sound designs for specific interactive and video elements. Their 2-channel video 'Zaum Tractor' was presented in the main program of the 2013 Venice Biennale and has been purchased by the Warsaw Museum of Modern Art. The sound and architectural work 'This is Before We Disappear From View' created much interest at the 2012 Sydney Biennale and has been shown several times since.
