She helps businesses identify cash flow improvements and optimise supply chain finance programme design for working capital benefits. This includes assisting clients implement the right balance between Supplier Relationship Management and Corporate Social Responsibility throughout the supplier onboarding processes. Her recent career was spent pioneering the development of supply chain finance in the UK at IBM Global Finance and Barclays Bank PLC. At IBM she led the set-up and roll out of US$1bn supply chain finance programmes in the UK, Europe and the US. In 2008, Maria joined Barclays Bank as Head of Sales, Supply Chain Finance where she developed the design and establishment of their first supply chain finance programmes in the UK, Europe and Asia. In her six years with Barclays, she was responsible for the successful delivery of supply chain finance programmes for key investment-grade clients in the food, retail and services sectors.
