This was the initiative of Riddhi Management Services, which is a technology driven company working in the field of GIS database for around 20 years and has national as well as international clients including government and UN agencies. Riddhi Uddalak was renamed as Riddhi Foundation from the year 2013 and scope of activities of the organization was widened to provide various knowledge based services. The mission of the organization is to enhance the well-being of the citizen through better governance and delivery of public services, particularly related to Alleviation of Poverty, Public Health and Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene etc. and also to conduct research in related fields including local governance, decentralized planning, sustainable development and environment protection. Over the years, it has implemented various projects in the said disciplines and has gained expertise in Monitoring & Evaluation, Analysis of large data pertaining to various development programmes like MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme), SBM(G) (Swachh Bharat Mission for rural areas) for evidence based policy formulation and giving feedback to the implementing agencies for efficient implementation as well as remaining on track in timely meeting the programme objectives, Strengthening Local Governance, Decentralized Planning and research in the field of socio-economic development and Biodiversity etc. Riddhi Foundation is presently led by Dr. M. N. Roy who has a background in electronics and telecommunication as well as research in the field of social science and has held key positions in the government during his career in the Indian Administrative Services spanning more than three decades.
