3DDraughting registered as an independent, specialist Computer Aided Design Draughting (CADD) Company in 2007. The Company has a proven track record in power generation, petroleum, LPG, mining, food, dairy and beverage, waste recovery and effluent treatment industries. The 3D piping model is utilised as the reference basis for the pipe stress analysis. As soon as the preliminary routing and pipe support design has been completed, the data is exported to AutoPIPE Advance for pipe stress analysis. Formal 3D model reviews are held at various stages of the project. During these review sessions attention is paid to engineering compliance, plant operability, maintenance and safety requirements. Engineering, production, operating and maintenance staff can give their input at an early stage thus avoiding later costly site rework. Once the 3D model, stress analysis and model review has been completed and all the required changes have been incorporated 3DDraughting generates construction drawings. The construction isometric drawings and material take-offs are automatically generated from the 3D model thus ensuring that all information is transferred seamlessly to the construction drawings.
