Chittagong Independent University (CIU) is the research-driven, and one of the degree-awarding higher seats of learning in Bangladesh, located at the port city, Chattogram. It was established by the "Education Science Technology and Cultural Development Trust (ESTCDT)", the founder of the Independent University Bangladesh (IUB).It virtually started its journey in 1999 as the Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), Chattogram campus. Since its inception, the Institution has been showing a remarkable progress in offering advanced higher education opportunities as well as in the field of research with a view to producing ideal human being for the society.
