September 2006 saw the formation of Allehanda Media Ångermanland AB. Having acted as two self-sufficient newspaper companies, Tidningen Ångermanland AB in Ådalen and AB Allehanda in Örnsköldsvik merged. The benefits of a single company are mainly editorial; by coordinating sports and news coverage, we can offer readers more pages and broader content. Obviously, it also means economical advantages to coordinate various administrative functions. With this new company, we want to increase interaction with our readers, secure the issuing of two local newspapers, and most of all create resources to develop new media with an apparent local connection to the region. In Allehanda Media we have united Tidningen Ångermanland, Örnsköldsviks Allehanda, web service www.allehanda.se and Rix FM 107,1 Örnsköldsvik. By being present at locations Örnsköldsvik, Härnösand, Sollefteå and Kramfors we broaden our coverage of news, sports and entertainment in Ångermanland. With a staff of 94 employees, our annual revenue was $1,615,000 for 2008.
