A Professional Student Organization Our Vision: To boost awareness and promote the growth of the MIS major at Iowa State University. Our Mission: We prepare MIS students and related majors for their professional careers through activities and events that expose them to the real world, improve their professionalism, and guide them towards a suitable career path in Information Systems. The MIS Club shall meet this goal through the following: Industry Presentations Each week we have a new company, organization or individual present on a real-world technology solution from industry, business and technology trends, or professional development. From start-up to mega corporation and agriculture to aerospace, we’ll give you a broad perspective of where you can go with MIS! Networking Events Connect with over 40 employers at our semesterly MIS Club Career Fair held the night before the Business Career Fair. Talk to IT staff and ISU Alumnus specifically looking to hire MIS majors for internships and full-time positions. Go on field trips for MIS Club member-only visits to top employers of MIS graduates. Social Activities Interact with your peers over dinner at our weekly meetings. Play some laser tag or knocker ball at our next club social. Enter into contests with prizes. Meet your fellow future CIOs. Developing the Club Network In order to provide MIS Club members with as many opportunities as possible, we will continue to build relationships with alumni, faculty, recruiters, and IT professionals.
