www.hopesupplyco.orgHope Supply Co, founded in 1989 as Captain Hope’s Kids is a nonprofit organization providing critically needed resources to homeless children in North Texas. We are the largest diaper bank in the state of Texas. We are the only organization whose sole mission is to supplement the inadequate supply of resources for homeless children in Dallas, Collin, Ellis, and Tarrant counties. Our mission is to ensure all homeless children have the resources they need to thrive. In 2014, we served 45,275 children across Dallas and Fort Worth, distributing 944,731 critically needed items valued at over $2.5 million dollars. Of these items, we distributed 13,485 diapers and training pants each week for infants and toddlers. We serve homeless infants, toddlers, and children, birth to 18 years of age. School age children represent 45 percent of those we serve; infants and toddlers 37 percent; teens 19 percent. Our collaborative agencies reported a demographic composition of 22 percent Hispanic, 51 percent African American, 21 percent Caucasian, 2 percent Asian, and 5 percent Other. Fifty-two percent of homeless children are girls.
