Bridge The Gaps
www.bridgethegaps.orgBridge the Gaps (BTG) is a non-profit organization connecting athletics and education. Our target students have shown an active interest and role in society through their passions in various athletic activities and have already received partial scholarships or they are Preferred Walk-Ons to an accredited university. As with most under funded school programs, these scholarships are often only providing students with partial financial funding ranging from 10 to a maximum of 40 percent of actual scholarship aid, relying the majority of educational costs to financial loans or forcing employment, which often times result in depriving the extra curricular activities and original partial scholarship. Bridge The Gaps targets underprivileged young students already proven to succeed in academic environments and provides ancillary funding opportunities that allow them to utilize those partial scholarships. In addition to helping students with the cost of tuition, BTG also can help with college expenses that are not covered for most aspiring students to include SAT/ACT test fees and college application fees. BTG has also launched our BAMM program, helping student athletes overcome mental challenges that are potentially limiting their ability to learn and/or behave in the classroom. The mission of Bridge The Gaps is to help thousands of underprivileged academically inclined high school athletic students fulfill their dream of attending college and playing sports by bridging the mental, emotional, and financial gaps between partial athletic, preferred walk-on, and academic scholarships.
