SPECTACULAR VINEYARDS SURROUND THE ESTATE From our terrace you overlook spectacular steep vineyards. Experts regard them as some of the best sites for dry white wines in Germany and the world. Our 30 hectares of vineyards are divided between 7 terroirs, or 7 exceptional sites. Our monopole Hermannsberg, plus the world-famous Kupfergrube and Bastei sites where we are the majority owners deserve a special mention. WE ARE A FOUNDING MEMBER OF THE VDP The members of the Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) are widely considered the elite of German winemaking and we’re a founding member. The highest class of the VDP’s vineyard classification is “VDP.GROSSE LAGE”, the equivalent of “Grand Cru” in other countries. 100% of vineyards are classified “VDP.GROSSE LAGE” or “Grand Cru” by the VDP.
