Africa is in a drought of leaders. Not because we do not have people to take up leadership responsibilities, but, because the right quality of leaders we need to take this continent forward are scarce. #PeopleMakingHistory was founded with a mission to develop young, smart and ethical leaders on the African continent. Leaders with vision, leaders who are authentic in their interest in people and their challenges and leaders with the courage to do what needs to be done to avert those challenges. In Southern Africa, many high school students who studied African History In Southern Africa, many high school students who studied African History would have used a textbook known as People Making History. In this book are prominent African liberation struggle heroes that include the likes of Samora Machel, Robert Mugabe, Nelson Mandela to mention just a few. These heroes are no longer with us and in some cases not as relevant to our struggle today. As such, we want to rewrite history with 21st century #PeopleMakingHistory who are breaking barriers to making this continent a better place.
