Weathervane Music Organization is a Philadelphia based music nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance independent music and the community that surrounds it. Weathervane produces Shaking Through, a documentary series that captures the recording studio performances of select independent artists as they record one song in two days. Weathervane members in countries all around the world have the opportunity to download and remix these beautifully captured recordings, and to share them back with other members on Weathervane’s website. The Weathervane EDU Program, funded in part by The Muse Educational Foundation, provides audio, video and text learning materials derived from the Shaking Through series for Schools that teach the recording arts and sciences. Through the EDU Program, Schools can reserve enhanced student and instructor memberships. Instructors enjoy a wealth of high-end materials to expand their curriculum, while students and instructors alike enjoy access to a growing network of tomorrow’s future professionals.
